Good morning! Well, after thinking I'd dodged the bullet getting through four weeks without getting sick... something finally caught up with me. I've spent the weekend prostrate with some awful bug in my system. Right now, I'm sitting quietly at work trying to ignore a pounding headache and to keep down some bread.

In other news, we got approval for our study REALLY quickly through the research review committee here. :) I spent last week writing study questionnaires and visiting the hearing clinic we'll send kids to for their tests, and we're planning to submit more materials for ethics review later this week. I'm hoping to get some field visits to various study sites in before I leave, now that the majority of my work for this study is done (they'll start collecting data in November, after hiring/training/recruitment/etc.).

Feeling pretty drained... catch ya later.
